Hi folks - dont know if this is an easy-peasy to do or if I am asking the impossible so any help would be really appreciated;
I have folders full of letters sent out to clients, they are all laid out in the same format. I want to extract specific data, name, address and email addresses from all of them. There are over a thousand files and I have neither the time nor inclination to copy and paste each one individually - if there is a way to do this automatically then that would be great Thanks for reading and thanks for any help Stu |

Its not easy-peasy but it can be done if the letters are truly consistent.
If you post a few representative sample documents then there may well be someone here who is prepared to create a macro for you.

No it is not easy-peasy and unless you are ready to roll up your sleeves and learn a little about VBA you might want to consider hiring it done. This should give you an idea what you will need:
