![]() Hello, can anyone help? When exporting a document to PDF (within Word), any line containing an apostrophe (') gets changed from standard Calibri TrueType to Calibri Composite TT which is lighter than the former. So most of the text looks bolder than the affected lines. This is undetectable in Word, and when viewing the PDF, but it can be detected with Pitstop Pro. Moreover the commercial printer's machinery detects it and prints the lighter font in places. Any ideas, anyone? |

Which method do you use to create the PDF? Perhaps SaveAs gives a different result than using the Acrobat PDFMaker or other print to methods.

Thanks for your response. I used Export - which is where Microsoft have placed it in Word 2013. I'm running some tests with the printer (the human) to see if Foxit PDF (which is a Word Add-in, and came bundled with 2013) behaves differently, and to see if it's the PDF conversion process itself. It's an involved process trying the various combinations - and you can only see the outcome in the final step - viewing the PDF on screen doesn't help because of course screen fonts are another dimension. Bye for now.
