Yes. If using a document protected for forms with legacy form fields, you can check the box to calculate on exit. Then if you have an IF Field that tests the value of your dropdown form field (which will have a bookmark name) you can change the text displayed depending on the value of the dropdown.

In Word 2007 you will have better access to legacy form fields on the Developer Tab if you use Greg Maxey's Add-In. Add Classic FormField Controls to Ribbon
Do not confuse the Content Control drop down with the legacy formfield dropdown. These are different animals. |
