Hey
I could use some help. I have word 2007 and sometimes when I use Foot notes I have a big gap in the line in which the Foot note is being enumerated. it can happen randomly in the same document - one foot note will be gap-less and one will have a gap. i'll give an example: ![]() i've set the space both before and after to zero, but yet it's there. any ideas? I need to hand in a big paper at college. thanks! |

Your superscripted 2 appears to be in a different font (and probably also a larger point size) from the superscripted 1. You can see that by the way the 2 lacks serifs and sits higher above the line than the 1. If the 2 is a footnote reference created by Word, that suggests someone has overridden the default footnote format; otherwise, someone has just typed a 2 and tried to format it to look like a footnote reference. FWIW, footnote references are typically nothing more than the default paragraph font superscripted.
