I have been using Office 2007 for some time and transferred it a number of times to new computers and now it wont allow me to proceed as it has apparently been activated the maximum number of times.
As a consequence I am thinking I should buy Word 365, so will I be able to access and use my current Office 2007 doc in Word 365. Is there a better option for me I am not a heavy user. Thanking you in advance |

If you have uninstalled & reinstalled your copy multiple times and now subsequently used up your max number of activations you can sometimes ring the Activation line at Microsoft and explain to them what has happened and they can allow you to activate it over the phone and they will give you the code to manually enter.
You just need to make sure you have not exceeded your software licence by installing it on more computers than you should, and it should be uninstalled from the old computers where possible. |

While there is a limit to the number of copies you can run, if some are no lorger being used, you can still load on a new machine, up to your maximum. Also, you can buy a legal copy of Office 2007 on the Internet that can be activated.
I really did not like Office 2007 and waited till Office 2010 to start using a Ribbon version, but Office 365 will take a bit of relearning, Basically, if you just think of the File Button as the Office Button, you should be OK. The Ribbons of Microsoft Word 2007-2013 |
