Office 2010 drop down blank

When I try to do a 'save as' in Word or Excel the drop down box is blank which shows the file location?



This has only recently happened after changing to Win 8.1

Just to add to this, I've just carried out a repair to MS Office and it's still the same.

I've just found this occurs outside of MS Office, so will repost in another forum
