If you have access to PowerPoint, here is a link to how you may remove the white background. It is a little tricky but, may be worth a try.
Link: http://blogs.office.com/2012/03/26/p...-a-background/ Hope this helps... |

I think you have misunderstood; the background removal technique you have proposed is available is Word itself but is not what I am looking for. I need to; 1. Export a selection of Grouped Shapes as ONE image 2. make sure the exported image has a transparent background Have you got any ideas? |

With that in mind, there is a forum for Word for Mac that may be of help at: http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/m...11?tab=Threads. Beyond that, I don't think I can help. Sorry. |

May thanks (yes it is for Word 2011 for Mac); I just spoke to Microsoft Support and we figured out a workaround... You have to copy the Group of Shapes/textboxes/images etc, to Powerpoint. Make sure the composition is still Grouped once copied to Powerpoint and then right-click on the Group and the "Save As Picture" option will now be available (not like in word where it is greyed out). |
