So is there any other reason why the Word file would be prompting the opening of the Excel file? Could it have something to do with the different links to Excel? Some links are just a single cell within a sentence, while other links reflect whole tables from Excel. This does not appear to be a HUGE difference in Word, but the link TYPES are slightly different in Word.
Single cell: Excel.SheetMacroEnabled Worksheet Chart: Macro-Enabled Worksheet BTW, what's AFAIK?
