I Translated a document from English to Arabic using DSL Trados. It contained Chapters 1-1, 2-1, 3-1, 4-1 and 5-1.
When the file was converted back to Word the chapter numbers were changed. Chapter one became 2-1. I tried every trick to change it to 1-1 without success. Any suggestion would be appreciate |

Which file format is DSL Trados using? It seems something went wrong in the conversion process.
How did you try to change the numbering back? Did you set up numbering as discussed in the article at http://shaunakelly.com/word/numberin...g20072010.html?

Thank you Stefan,
You are right, DSL Trados messed up the Word file. Two headings were assigned the same style name. The first heading was consider Chapter one and the second heading as chapter 2. That's why the document started with Chapter two 2-1 and the sequence of the consequent chapters went up. Once the second heading was changed to Heading 2, everything was corrected. Thanks a lot. |
