Hi
I’m faced with the task of moving from one computer to another and I’ve run into a major problem with autocorrect. Basically, I need the WORD 2007 autocorrect files from the old computer transferred to the new one. However, my old computer runs on Windows 7 while the new computer runs on Windows 8. I’ve installed Microsoft Office (home and student) 2007 on the new computer. However, I have been unable to figure out how to copy the autocorrect settings from one to the other. Please could someone advise me in baby-talk? Thanks Chris Last edited by Charles Kenyon; 10-18-2014 at 03:08 PM. Reason: Mark as solved |

Use the Autocorrect 2007 backup utility from Jay Freedman.
On the old computer run the utility to form a backup document. Edit that if you want. Transfer the document to the new computer and run the restore function of the backup utility.
