Documents displayed with wrong layout in Word 2013
I frequently write technical documentation and these documents are of two different types:
I have searched the Web before posting this question but nothing useful come up. I did find a Microsoft article mentioning that Word 2013 has a completely new "layout engine" but I don't even know whether there is any relation. |

It is a change of behaviour, I believe related to the fact that Word 365 is aimed at working on a variety of platforms. If you want the documents to always open in a particular view, you could add an autoopen macro to the document to switch the view and save the document as macro enabled e.g..
Code:
Sub AutoOpen() ActiveWindow.View.Type = wdWebView End Sub
