Then, I would Copy from my "bad" document then Paste Special > Unformatted Text into my new document
I have never seen this discussed, but I find ever so often a doc or Excel SS seems to get the code behind it messed up I guess you could spend a few hours resolving this issue, but I have it is easier to do what I suggest with a new doc or SS and move on and get the job done
