Footer and Section Problem
I wonder if someone could assist with section breaks and footers?!
Front page with footer A (portrait) Page break Following pages portrait with footer B, (Different First Page option is ticked) All works fine. I then need to insert another section break as I require my final few pages to be landscape. When inserting a page break, I can correctly flip these last few pages to landscape. However the landscape page picks up and users footer A from the front page. If I amend this, it amends the front page footer also. I wish to carry on using footer B on my landscape pages, but seemingly cannot! I’ve recreated on a new document and happens consistently. How can I get Front page with footer A Subsequent pages with footer B Carry on with footer B after a section break (required to allow last few pages to be landscape) Many thanks! |

Put your cursor in the first page of the landscape section then from Page setup > Layout, set the Apply to - This Section. Then remove the different first page check mark. The first page header/footer in the landscape section should then change to the subsequent page footer from the first section, leaving the first section with its first page header/footer

Part worked!
Thanks!
This has part worked in that my footer on the first page (containing author and pathname) is no longer on my landscape pages. However my landscape pages still do not have the same footer as the main body of my document. This has a .jpg and a page x of y. My landscape pages have a page x of y, but it's page 0 of 14, not page 11 of 14?! Something very subtle I am guessing... |
