Post Style for Icons, Warnings, Notes - Typography Conventions

Hello,

I am building a template for an Installation and Configuration Guide and would like to be able to add an icon (such as a warning sign) with text aligned to its right with a warning memo.

(see page 4 of this amazon book for an example: http://www.amazon.ca/Technical-Writi.../dp/0764553089)

I'd like to be able to click on a style, and my icon shows up with my cursor ready to type test on its right.

Can anybody guide me to how I can get that done in Word 2010? See the attached example document for an example.

Thanks,
Joey

Word can't do it that way. What you could do, however, is create and use a custom Quick Part/Building Block containing the table with your icon and the Styles you want already applied. See:

Yep agree with macropod, I'd use a Quick Part/Building Block to achieve what you are after.
