MS Word takes 5 minutes or more to load. During this time it seems to "demand" all of the computers attention. Nothing else will open or if it does it takes forever. I used the "repair" function and that didn't make a difference. I reinstalled the entire program (without unistalling the original) and that didn't correct the problem. Outlook works fine

As a troubleshooting step, try starting Word in Safe mode and see if it runs properly.

To start in Safe mode, hold Ctrl as you click the shortcut you normally use to start Word, and click yes when you are asked if you want Safe mode.
