Default Right Alignment

I want to right align the last line of text in a paragraph to a point on the right margin of my page and at the end of a paragraph that is indented from the right margin.

For example, using 16cm as the right margin, I used to be able to do this by setting the right indentation at 2cm and adding a tab setting of 16cm but for some reason this does not now seem to work.

Is there a global setting somewhere that needs adjusting? Please can anyone help with this?

Thank you in anticipation.
ANDY
