I'm having this problem again and the Ctrl-U trick didn't work. I'm attaching the doc.
What I want is text that gives the first letter of a country and then spaces to show how many more letters are in the name of the country, à la hangman. Example: C _ _ _ _ (for Chile) P _ _ _ (for Peru) V _ _ _ z _ _ _ _ I've copied the P line that has underscores, but when I paste it, the underscores don't appear! Weird and frustrating.
