Default Word 2013 create simple format list for bylaws

I've been googling all day and i must be making it more complicated than it is. I have attached 2 jpgs to show what i'd like to have. I think it's just a simple outline but i've been trying to create it using multilevel list and headings when maybe i should just use a simple numbered list and type in the rest. I cannot get it to automatically advance to next number upon return, as in 1.01 [return] 1.02 [return], etc.

Bylaws 1 - shows the constitution which has just Articles and need the sequential number sections.

Bylaws 2 - shows the bylaws that i'd like to have the Articles, each one with Sections, and then the sequential automatic advancing number paragraphs. Any suggestions on a better look for the sections and numbering would be welcome.

I'm hoping the pictures show what i'm trying to do. Thanks for any help.
