pintree3 is on a distinguished road
Default How2 stop a table from going to pg 2

Word 2010: I went to paragraph-->'Line & page breaks and tried each option 1 by 1 or a combination; 1 n 2, 2 n 3, 3 n 4, 1 n 3, 1,2,3 n 4 etc.
Starting with 'Widow/orphan control' and ending at 'Don't hyphenate.' Regardless I get 2 pages. This happens often and drives me nuts. Why can't I just use delete on the last row (which isn't a last row) or backspace and be done with it? Really, why?
Anyhow please see attached and help me get rid of page 2. thank you.

Your image doesn't display, so it's not clear what the issue is. Obviously, though, if your table has too much to fit on one page, it will have to put the remainder on another page. If, however, you're simply trying to create a 1-page table and want nothing to follow it, you're out of luck - there must always be a paragraph that follows a table. All is not lost, though, as you can prevent Word adding an extra page. To do that, select the paragraph mark that follows the table, then format it with 0 space before & after and with a 1pt hidden font.

Note that you can attach an example document to this forum for others to look at.

Anyway, my guess is the same as Paul's: the table actually fits on the first page, but not the paragraph mark following the table. For more on this, see http://wordfaqs.mvps.org/BlankPage.htm.
