Default How do I active Inactive Application Add-ins in Word 2010?

I installed Endote X7 (citation software) but the toolbar was missing in Word. I checked the add-in menu and sure the respective item (Endote Cwyw.dotm, a Template) was listed under Inactive Application Add-ins.

I selected Manage Templates and checked the (previously unchecked) box for Endote Cwyw.dotm and click OK. Nothing happens, but Endote Cwyw.dotm is now listed under Active Application Add-ins. I restart Word. The toolbar is missing and it's listed under Inactive Application Add-ins again.

How do I fix that?
