I'm a newby (to the newest word) and my significant other is even more newby. I have a subscription to Office 365 and am still getting used to it both of us having graduated from Office 2003. Wow what a difference. Anyway we have a couple of questions:
I have occasion to open old .doc files. When I select one and double click it opens in preview mode where text slides from side to side. I have to select view to choose the way I'd rather see the document. I would like to configure word to open these files in edit mode directly. Is this possible? It's just an extra step I need to take I would rather not. Is there a way to delete a file from the system within Word? |
