I have a Word document full of paragraph numbers (i.e. fields) and references to them. But now they show only the underlying codes instead of the numbers, for example the text below (which pasted in showing the numbers):
in (3d)? (Recall that ‘*’ means ‘not acceptable’.) (1)a. Do you believe that John saw Bill? The codes show up as: { REF _Ref297212854 \r \h } {LISTNUM utterance_number } As I recall, all I need is to press a certain key combination that I learned a while back when doing a Mail Merge, and the codes will flip to the display pattern I'm hoping to see. Unfortunately my aging memory doesn't enable me to dredge up what that key combination is. Thanks for your help! ![]() |

Alt+F9 toggles view between field results and field codes.
