After an unpredictable (10-30min) amount of time, MS Office a perfeectly fine MS word document (Office 2010). Suddenly has normal text change to what looks like Wingdings!
Then when I go to save the document, I can't as it only saves a 0K file. Any advice welcome? Note: I've done tones of hardware tests and yet to find any issues! cya Craig P.S: See attachment for an example, as is one very odd issue! |

There is no attachment, but there is a displayed image. Yes they look like wingdings but it looks more like bit level data. There could be corruption issues here.
Is it just one file? Many files? Do all files after 10-30 minutes go this way? |

It's happening on multiple files on different machines all running Office 2010 with encryption.
The timeline between incidents is pretty random, I'm starting to suspect that the encryption could be at fault here.. cya Craig |

Hmmm. Possibly, but I have never heard of encryption causing such things. I sounds like corruption, but the fact it is happening on various machines is definitely concerning.
What happens if you try and save the file as plain text? |

Thanks for your tips, I've instructed the user to try saving as RTF or text next time.
Basically once we start seeing the weirdness begin in the document, the user cannot save and when they try it simply becomes 0KB. cya Craig |
