Hello all,
Help... I am trying to print a sign I made in word 2003. It prints with [none] diagonal across the page. Kind of like a watermark. I have gone to format, background, printed watermark. "No Watermark" is already selected. It doesn't show up in print preview, only when I actually print. It is driving me crazy, I can't figure out why this is happening. Can anyone help me with this. Thank you, Lea |

I can think of two possibilities. One, a WordArt object or an image was placed in the header or footer. formatted to look like a watermark. check both these places. Two, some printers can add their own watermarks to pages. This latter would show up somewhere in the printer dialogue box.

ulodesk,
There was a watermark in the printer properties. I have no idea how or why that is there... Never even thought to look there. Thank you for your help. |

I had the same thing and everywhere I looked it said [none] for watermark. Preview didn't sjow one either.
I then went into "edit" under the watermark in the printer settings and there were two [none] watermarks. So I deleted the second one and problem was solved. Hope this helps anyone else who gets this mystery problem. |

I had the exact same issue and couldn't figure it out. No watermark in MS Word, so what could it be!? Found this forum and sure enough, it was in the print settings. Thanks!!!!!!

Thanks, I couldn't figure out where the [none] watermark was coming from and sure enough it was in the printer properties. I should have realized because the [none] was coming up in my Word documents also
