![]() Sometime a image planted in a Word document has suddenly gained a cross with arrows on the tips and the image starts doing what it wants - ignores the page justify setting for instance, actually they become inoperative, it positions itself oddly on the page (tight against the top left corner for instance), and the right click format panel offers a different set of manipulation options excluding the usual ones that are what you want. It seems in particular to want to offer the option to revolve the images with a lollipop stuck to the top edge of the image and an arrowed circle that appears around 'lollipop'. How do I get rid of this effect and back to normal? Why does it just arise with a few images and not others? Thanks |

Your offending image probably has a 'square' wrap format. If you change it to 'in-line', it'll probably behave the way the others do (which I assume are also 'in-line'). To do this, click on the image the, when the 'Picture Tools' tab appears on the Ribbon, click on 'Wrap Text' and choose the 'in-line with text' option.
