i have a 50 page formatted word document with many paragraphs under different titles and subtitles sections and i want to add statement at the end of each paragraph, excluding the header and the footer, such as "thanks for your input".

any suggestions.

You could do that via Find/Replace, where:
Find = ^p
Replace = ^lthanks for your input^p
The ^l inserts a line break in the paragraph; you could omit it if you prefer or even supplement it with a tab (i.e. ^l^t).

thanks Paul for the help, and excuse my ignorance, i presume that i have to add ^p to all paragraphs,how can i limit only adding ^p at the bottom of all the document paragraphs[/B], how can this be done in one shoot without including the titles and subtitles,footer, header....

^p is a paragraph mark - the end of a paragraph. ^l is a manual line break, ^t is a character inserted by the tab key.

You should not have to add anything. The replace that Paul gave you will not replace in headers or footers.

As for excluding headings, titles, subtitles... You didn't ask to do that originally.

I assume (hope) that your body text is all in one style and your headings, titles, subtitles are formatted using different (preferably heading) styles.

When you do the replace, make sure that the formatting for the find text is specified to be in the style used for your body text. You will find the Formatting choices by clicking on the More button in the Replace dialog.

If you didn't use Styles for your formatting, now might be a good time to learn to use them. You can also specify direct formatting but that is a lot more work!

thanks Charles Kenyon for your input, apparently it is time consuming work, as i have to search for each paragraph and do the replace.

You shouldn't need to process each paragraph individually. 'Replace All' will do the lot in one go - and it won't touch anything in headers or footers.

However, as Charles noted, your first post didn't mention the titles and subtitles. In that case, if your paragraphs are formatted using different paragraph Styles from your titles and subtitles, you have two options:
1. Specify only the paragraph Styles you want to update, via the Format|Style options in the Find/Replace dialogues; or
2. Update everything, then delete the changes to the titles and subtitles, using:
Find = ^lthanks for your input^p
Replace = ^p,
again specifying the paragraph Styles for the titles and subtitles, via the Format|Style options in the Find/Replace dialogues.

If you have more paragraph Styles for the body content than for the titles and subtitles, you might find the second option quicker.

If you haven't used different paragraph Styles for the titles and subtitles from what you've used for the rest of the content, now is the time to do so - then do the Find/Replace as outlined above. At most, you'll need to do three Find/Replace operations.
