I recently got a new computer at work and I've found that when I'm typing along it will switch my font size from 11pt to 8pt. The scenario is usually when I've finished a memo and use a macro for whom to cc:, then save it and use a macro to put in a footer so I know in which folder it can be found and then print with Ctrl P. I don't know if I'm hitting some quick key that makes it do this or what.
I know the quick key for decreasing font size 1 pt is Ctrl [ and that's right next to Ctrl P (for when I print), but this decreases it 3 pts! I'm very frustrated and can't find anything online! Thanks! |

Maybe you inadvertently pressed Ctrl+SpaceBar which reverts font settings to those of the underlying paragraph style. If the formatting changes occur when you press Enter, a different style may be applied by the "Style for following paragraph" setting in the current paragraph style.
How was the document initially formatted? If someone just selected text and applied formatting, then it's so-called direct formatting (not stored in a style), and the style formatting may resurface, as explained above.
