Hey ,
I have 2 questions in Microsoft Word: 1.How do I automatically present thoughts with comma? Ex. 1000 will automatically presented as 1,000 2. how do I automatically present negative numbers in brackets. Ex. -1,000 would be presented as (1,000). I know there is a way throw formula but it's for one number and it's long. and since i need to delete the $ sign from the formula pattern. I'm looking for an automatic way to do this, if not maybe a keybord suortcut to change numbers like -2000 to (2,000). Pls advice Thanks in advance. |

There is no simple way to do this when typing in a document. Word isn't smart enough to figure out when you would want it and when not.
If you are typing a number in a content control or field, you can format the number automatically by setting the formatting for that field or content control. |

BTW, this is very easy to do in Excel. Do you need to be using Word?
