Default Open Quickpart file normalemail.dotm - edit multiple building blocks

I double clicked on normalemail.dotm and it shows up nothing in word 2010...but I do see the quickparts in my outlook 2010...there are too many parts and i want to change my signature in every quick part...so I am assuming if I can open normalemail.dotm in word 2010 and can update my signatures..in all the quick part...Is word 2010 not compatible to open them...these quick parts are not made by me and I have no knowledge in how to open them ...I know how to update individual quick part in outlook...using save gallery and then keep changing the exact name..etc..Please help!
