For a fairly simple demonstration, see the attached. The document has two content controls - one being a dropdown, the other being a text control that gets populated according to the dropdown selection. In this case, all of the variable content is held in the content control. For your purposes, that content might be held in the macro itself and different portions output to a range of content controls located wherever you need them in the document. The update process is driven by a macro that you can access via Alt-F11.
