When I clear my computer with fi ccleaner, the references under the Office Button also get cleared. Can this be avoided? Where (in which folder or as what type of document) does office save this reference so I can avoid it be removed every time I use cleaner?

I have the same problem and I use ccleaner also.
Have you noticed that the older files are available if you don't use the cleaner? I don't see any option which refers to documents files.

The documents referenced under your Office programs should be included in the Recent Documents group, which is located under Windows Explorer on the Windows page. Unchecking that should prevent Ccleaner from clearing the recent document links.
