Default changing look of status bar in word 2002

I inadvertently made some changes to the appearance of word 2002 -- the status bar is too small and I want to change the size/font of the information displayed there, but forgot how to do it. Could someone help me out?

The status bar only has on/off display properties; nothing for font & other sizing.

Are you sure the problem isn't just that you've managed to partly position it off-screen? Try maximising the Word window and see if that resolves the issue. If it does, reduce the window size again and drag it higher on the screen, until the whole status bar is displayed.

That's strange, because the fonts change size -- when I brought my mac out of sleep (I use parallels for work) and opened up one of my documents then fonts were larger -- then they all of a sudden got smaller again -- I think it has might have something to do with the settings in display in the control panel; but I can't be sure.

Word 2002 - on a Mac? Control Panel - on a Mac? There seems to be some disconnect here.

Aside from that, you may have an issue with a damaged font.

OK, so given that you said "when I brought my mac out of sleep ... fonts were larger -- then they all of a sudden got smaller again", the issue could also be display related. AFAIK, there's nothing in the Windows Control Panel that allows you to differentiate status bar font sizes from anything else - those niceties are controlled by the applications and, as I've already said, Office only gives an on/off option.
