![]() I have a Cover page, then a table of contents... I want to start the page numbering on the first page of text which is the 3rd page. How do I accomplish this?? Or even do something like make the number on page 2 (table of Contents) lettering then switch to numbers on page 3 when my text starts. Thank you for your time and help!! |

See: http://word.mvps.org/faqs/formatting...atter_2007.htm
Basically, what you need to do is to insert a 'next Page' Section break after your TOC, unlink the new Section's header/footer from the previous Section's header/footer, then format the page numbering in the new Section's header/footer to start from 1.

macropod's answer doesn't explain what TOC is or how to "unlink the new Section's header/footer from the previous Section's header/footer, then format the page numbering in the new Section's header/footer to start from 1." Can you please explain at greater length for the uninitiated?

plradoff,
Instead of resurrecting old threads, please start a new thread with your question. You might also save yourself some time if you read the page in the link I posted.
