![]() I have 8 pages of text and not sure how to transfer it to word or pdf or any format that I can use for Outlook express email. I scanned all 8 but they are in huge file size that would take a long time to email. It seems easy, but every thing I try doesn't quite work. |

That is not all that informative as you state nothing about what you HAVE tried and what did happen that can said to not work.

When you scan a page, you make a picture of the page. If you want to extract the text from the picture, you need an OCR application such as Acrobat Professional. Word is not an OCR program.
Other people posting around this topic have suggested your scanner may come with OCR software. Give it a try! my scanner is too old for such a luxury :-{ |

I'm a dummy, I realized I can do pdf's off my scanner to my laptop. Ironically I did alot of this a year ago but forgot all about it. Senior citizen moment.
thanks |
