Hi,
I would like to create a custom table of contents that references a customer field, to be exact a revision number for that document. I have a number of separate documents linked to a commom contents page at the moment, in addition to the titles (heading) of each document I would like to be able to include a revision number for that document. i'd like it to sit within a 3x..... table. I can add the "styleref" data field but how do It only does one field, i.e. the first it comes to only. Is this possible? |

Yes. It is possible.
If you want to use a StyleRef field, just use a different style for each point. The styles need not have any different formatting, just different names. That is really doing a TOC the hard way, though. Generating a Table of Contents - Complex Documents |

What about the addition of another data field to each line of the contents page? |

Look into the TC field and the REF field. You use the TC field to give contents to your TOC. It could use a REF field to pull in information from another field.
