I just checked and key assignments in global templates do not show up using either method. Doesn't work in Word 2010, either.

These will show assignments in either the open document or its attached template.

The keyboard assignment does show up in the Assign Keyboard shortcut dialog, though, if I try to assign something else to that key combination. --- (2)
