It is impossible to say without knowing what exactly the .exe is doing. I have no idea what is happening that would cause the FileSave dialog to display, but for sure it will not do so on its own. Further I have a hard time understanding why such a display would abort ANY import of text or data.

Hi fumei,
...have finally figured it out. Activated File ->Option->Trust Center->Trust Center Setting->File Block Setting and checked Save boxes for Word 2007 Template and Open Doc Text File and also checked Open Selected File Type. With this setting the File Save dialog box still appears but no longer aborts the display of reports as exported in MS Word. Whether it's the right setting or otherwise it gets the result we finally wanted. Good day! Kim |

For what it's worth, an alternative approach in the Word object model would be to check if a document is displayed in Protected view or not. Under the Application object, there is a ProtectedViewWindows collection (whose members are Window objects).
