You could convert them to pdf and use Adobe Acrobat or another pdf handler to combine them as a pdf.

Because you use the term "master document" and may be doing a Google search using that term a warning is appropriate. Word has a "feature" called Master Document. If you are tempted to use it, read this first: Master Documents Feature in Microsoft Word.
