How do i lock the table that is in a form such as a school report so that it can be filled in but not expand when it is filled in.. surely there must be a way to do this... thanks .. Y.

Using a table, click on it and go to Table Tools>Layout>Properties>Row. For each row, click on 'Exactly' and set the row height to whatever you want it to be. Then click on Column and set each column's width to whatever you want it to be. Your table cells will now not change size when content is added. Do be aware that, if the user inserts too much in a cell, the content will still be there but won't show on screen or in printouts.
