Hello everyone!
First; i wanna tell my english isn't really fluent. I hope you are patient with my imperfect english ![]() I'm gonna try expressing my question in an understandeable way. At present moment, i'm trying to make a Word document. A Word document with Name and telephone number (and other stuffs of importance). But as you probably can imagine, it'd facilitate a lot, if you could create, on the first page, an index function with only names of everyone on the list, and as you click on the name you jump into the right place in the Word document that represents that individual and all other information connected to this human being shows up. If i need to clarify my question, in any way, feel free to point it out to me! May anyone share a link to a tutorial that helps me out on this matter? I would really appreciate it. I have tried google, but without any success. Maybe i have googled wrong search words. Thanks! ![]() |

If you use a separate style for all the names, you could create a Table of Contents that shows only paragraphs with that style. Of course, this would present the names in the same order as in the document … so perhaps not in alphabatical order.
You can also insert an Index at the start of the document, but I don't know any tricks for saying "automatically include anything with this style in the index". (not in Word, anyway) I'll watch this thread and learn from the other answers! |
