Which option is missing, exactly? The "insert as icon" option? Or something else?

Did you perhaps put the icon inside a container (for example a text box) with fixed dimensions?

Hello

Attached is the issue i am having in 2010. If you see at two images, you shall notice how i do see the formating option in 2003, but in 2010 it goes missing. Is there any other route that i can to format these.

Even in Word 2010, you should be able to right-click and choose Format Object from the context menu. I just tested this, and it works on my Word 2010 installation.
