Default 2010 Track Changes-Review-"Final" still shows strikethrough/markups within document

Word 2010-I received a document in email in the Final:Show Markup stage. I change to Final and the strike-throughs/markups within the document are still there. I've accepted all changes - unchecked the Privacy Options, Make hidden markup visible when opening. So far, nothing I do makes the markups go away. Help!
