I'm getting this issue where I can't type quotes anymore. If I type a double quote it gives me a double quote but below the line. If I do two double quotes one after the other, the second is a double quote but then I have to remove the weird double comma thing. What's going on?
I have my language settings set up properly in Control Panel. I've checked the Office Language settings and they are set to English UK as well. |

At Tools | Language | Set Proofing Language, make sure to clear the option to "Detect language automatically"; this will prevent Word from changing the language at the insertion point.
In the problem document, select all (Ctrl+A) and then change the language back to UK English.
