Default Middle-dot Tab Leader

Hello,

I am completely stumped. A few weeks ago, I set a tab leader in a doc that used the middle-dot leader option (the one that is like the dashed line leader, but instead of dashed lines, it uses what looks like a small bullet character). I wanted to use that same option again today, so I opened the Tabs dialog for a tabbed list that I just set, but there are only four options listed for leaders:

1 (None)
2 -------
3 .........
4 ______

As you can see, no middle-dot leaders! Where did I get this from? I know it was an option somewhere b/c I remember setting it to that, but I thought I set it in the Tabs dialog. Apparently, I did not, b/c it's not there. Also, when selecting a paragraph with no tab leaders set and opening the Tabs dialog, it shows 1 (None) ticked by default. But when selecting one with middle-dot leaders in the same doc, none of the radio buttons for Leader are ticked in the Tabs dialog.

Of course, I'm sure it's a leader, b/c I'm able to erase the tab, hit tab key again, and the dotted leader appears. I can also use the format painter to apply the leader style to other tabs that I can't get to work.

I also checked a bunch of videos for setting tab leaders on YouTube and I wasn't able to find a single one that shows the Tabs dialog listing more than those 4 basic Leader options.

By the way, my user account was recently reimaged because of an issue I was having with Excel, but it was reimaged with the same software that I had before (Win7/Office2010/32-bit). I didn't think this would make a difference as the account had been reimaged one time before (again, with the same software). I just wanted to mention this b/c I remembered that I created the doc with middle-dot tab leaders before the most recent reimage. Now, I'm unable to remember how I did it.

Is there possibly an option somewhere for custom tab leaders beside the Tabs dialog? I mean, I'm pretty sure there was a radio button option somewhere to choose this leader. I want to say that I remember there also being a solid line leader as, but I can't find that either, just dashes, periods and underlines... and sad faces.

Thanks in advance for any help!

Well... after screwing around for a bit, I realized that my Japanese language pack was never reinstalled after reimaging my user account. I installed support for Microsoft IME, restarted Office apps, and now the middle-dot option is available for tab leader.
