I recently scanned a printed document which automatically converts it to an MS word document complete with all the original tabs, spacing and formatting.
It all looks lovely at first glance but when i try to edit some of the text, chunks of text, sometimes big sometimes small, randomly pop in and out of existence on the screen. Can anyone help as its extremely frustrating. I am using a new intel mac with Word for mac 2011 but the original document was scanned using ABBY Fine reader for scansnap 4.1 on a windows PC running Windows 7. Can anyone please advise? |

Has some of the text been put into text boxes by Abby? Hit the Show Formatting icon and see if there are any.

Hi
Try saving it as a "text" file. Then open a NEW file and import the text file. This should get rid of the rogue formatting that you are experiencing. Good luck. Tony |
