I would set Irish Setter (possibly with a non-breaking space) as an AutoText entry. First though select it and under the Review tab > Language set it to not check spelling or grammar. This is like character formatting.

I have a character style with this attribute that I use for citations in legal briefs.

Then save it as an AutoText entry so you won't have to go through this every time.

As far as I know, there is no other way to turn off grammar rules for just one word.

Great ideas! I had done at least one of the suggested. An just did the others. You both had similar suggestions.

More: This seems to be perfect going forward. I opened a new doc - typed irish setter and it auto corrected to Irish Setter - but more important, it is no longer telling me it is wrong!

Life going forward will be much better.

Any idea how to make it effecting in past documents? I tried find replace for Irish Setter and replace with Irish Setter. Thinking the new version would take over.

Worst case - I ignore the rule in past documents. At least going forward I am set.

thank you both for that!! Less Frustrated!
