Default how to have both portrait and landscape?

so basically I have a long article and at some point I must have a table in landscape format because of its size and shape but I see no option to change an INDIVIDUAL page to a landscape.

the only option that seems to be there is for either portrait or landscape for ALL of them.

can anyone help me?

Add two section breaks. Now you document has three sections instead of the default 1 section. Format section 2 page layout to be in landscape.

hi everyone,

I did manage to get one page in landscape, however this page keeps on going down while editing text above this page. I do not want this, because I want it as a third page. How can I make sure the page is somewhat fixated and new lines will automatically continue below of this page?

Thanks.

I do not think it can be "fixated" to where the textual lines will automatically move the the page following the landscape layout. It would probably be best that you complete all of your editting in the portrait layout prior to making the "section break" to the landscape layout or, to the point where you want the landscape layout to appear. The reason for this is that, as you mentioned, the text will keep pushing down the page (which it is supposed to do). So, complete your editting then insert the "section break" and set your layout to landscape (do not "link to previous") then when applicable, insert another "section break (and, again, do not "link to previous") to return to the portrait layout.

OTOH, if the graphic or table is already in the document, simply insert the section break and change the layout to landscape after you complete your editting.

I have attached an example for reference.

For additional information on section breaks, see Sections / Headers and Footers in Microsoft Word 2007-2013.
