klemens swib, if you are still looking at this can you please clarify things? Are you dealing with PDF?

Not your fault that there's an air of confusion about this thread, indeed! OP used the term "e pub", which I read as a reference to the epub format. I've prepared documents in this format myself with a range of tools, though never Word.

The reference you cite, however, is about e-publishing using the pdf format. Recent versions of Word – I think that's vague enough to be safe – include a Save as Adobe PDF command. I've only used this when I've needed to distribute documents with .eps graphics, so I don't know what pagoination options it provides.

Hope this clears the ground, so we can now wait in case OP politely gets back to us to close or continue the thread. If his problem is solved, so much the better. If not, we need to know exactly what he's trying to achieve and how he's setting about it.

Well THANK YOU! I was not aware of epub (itself) as a format. That is most helpful, and it does sounds like what the OP was asking about. Not PDF.

If so, then yes it is very possible that the XML in later versions of Word may be causing wonky stuff. In fact, from that link it is clear that Word is NOT a supported source.

However, we still need the OP to clarify things. Otherwise we are spinning our wheels.
