Similar issues have been reported earlier with certain PDF converters. My guess is that this is not a Word issue. If you install one of those free PDF converters, such as CutePDF, or use Word's internal converter, do you still see the problem?

Thanks for replying, Stefan.
The thing is I prefer to use the Acrobat Plugin, because if I am not mistaken, it is part of Acrobat XI that our company purchased and has more bells and whistles I wish to employ in my projects... Do you know of a solution in fixing the Acrobat Plugin? Based on your observation that this is probably an Acrobat Plugin issue, I've also posted on http://forums.planetpdf.com/topic855_post3048.html#3048 which focuses on .pdf files... in case I posted in the wrong forum? Of course I would be grateful for any advice offered here too! Thanks so much for your help!
