Look at your Header and Footer Tools in the Ribbon. Sections / Headers and Footers in Microsoft Word 2007-2010 Look for the checkbox for Different First Page. If it is checked, copy all the text in your header or footer, then uncheck it. Paste the text back in.

Hi
You need to use a Section break on page 5 (Next Page Section Break). Then in the first section format your page numbers in the Footer as Roman Numerals. Then move to Section 2 and click in your Footer then de-select the "Link to Previous" in the toolbar. Then insert a new page number and change the Start at Page to 1. This will resolve your issue.
